This project required concrete repair and rehabilitation for spalls, delaminations, and leaks located in Drydock 1. The work also included the repair of galleries and stairs, and incidental related work for the inner caisson seat. Due to the tight drydock docking schedule, the project had to be performed in a very limited timeframe requiring multiple shifts to achieve the successful on-time completion. The 20,000 square feet of rehabilitation and repair work included flat surface vertical spalls, edge spalls, reconstruction of stairs, flat surface vertical demolition, edge demolition, repair and replacement of waterproofing, crack repair, and removal of asbestos sealant.
