DRY DOCK 1 WALLS AND CAISSON

The scope of this project was to perform concrete rehabilitation for spalls, delaminations, and leaks located in Drydock One at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. The work also included the repair of galleries and stairs, as well as incidental related work for the inner caisson seat. The project had to be performed in a very limited timeframe because of the drydock’s docking schedule—multiple shifts were required to achieve the successful on-time completion. The project area was greater than 20,000 square feet and included the following elements:

  • Flat Surface Vertical Spalls
  • Edge Spalls
  • Alter Repair
  • Reconstruction of Stairs
  • Flat Surface Vertical Demolition
  • Edge Demolition
  • Repair and Replacement of Waterproofing
  • Asbestos Sealant at the Top of Walls
  • Repair of Cracks
