ROTARY APRON & HYDRANT FUEL SYSTEM
This project provided a 100,000-square-foot, ten-inch thick Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) Rotary Wing Fueling Apron, and included construction of two aircraft hot fueling pantograph connections to provide apron space required to hot pit refuel two rotary wing aircraft simultaneously. The apron will also serve as containment in the case of fuel spills encountered during fueling operations. The construction also included stainless steel and carbon steel hydrant loop piping and valves, and other site work and utilities necessary to provide a fully functional fueling apron.
Additionally, this project included construction of a pumphouse, filtration equipment, two 5,000-barrel operating fuel tanks with concrete dikes, two direct fueling stations, a fuel piping system, and other site work and utilities to provide a fully functional Rotary Wing Hydrant.
