The project required the demolition of deteriorated concrete, replacement of reinforcing steel, and rehabilitation of concrete on the drydock floor. Minor features include installation of 25 brass pins, and removal and replacement of hazardous debris in a drainage channel. Spall repair work included 9,000 square feet of four different types of spalls, one of which included asbestos.  Approximately 18,000 pounds of reinforcing steel, including epoxy-coated steel, were installed as part of the replacement work.
