Land-Water Interface, Bangor, WA

This project constructed three elevated fixed fighting positions for the waterfront restricted area (WRA) land/water interface (LWI), along with construction of two abutments that connected both ends of the landside WRA security system to the existing floating barrier security system. This action enhanced security for the TRIDENT program by creating a continuous barrier around the Waterfront Restricted Area. One Land-Water Interface structure was built at the northern end of the Waterfront Restricted Area and a second was built at the southern end. The Land-Water Interface structures were constructed using two pile-supported piers and by modifying and lengthening the existing Port Security Barriers.
