This project replaces the entire switchgear building with a new drop-in-place prefabricated NEMA 3R-rated walk-in enclosure, complete switching station with 15kV switchgear utilizing SEL relays, two bus-tie breakers, SCADA equipment, and NETA commissioning testing. A full-sized accessible concrete vault is being constructed under the structure, located near the existing Building 7035. The electrical power and communication scope of work totals 100,000 linear feet to upgrade the existing 15kV feeder protection and 24- and 48-strand Fiber Optic cabling.
