This project replaced Drydock 4 drainage pumps 1 and 2, both pump motors, and associated electrical components, including the motor control center controllers and wiring.  The existing pump foundations required rebuild and repair to accommodate the new drainage pumps and to provide a water-tight installation.  The discharge piping and associated check valves were also replaced. The inlet suction piping from the wet well to each pump was removed and replaced. The pump area removal work required handling and disposal of lead-based paint.  Existing structures including supporting steel and catwalks had to be removed and re-installed to accommodate the project work.
