Replace Type III Hydrant Fuel System
This project at the General Billy Mitchell Air National Guard Base in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, includes constructing a new consolidated DoD Type III Hydrant Fueling Pumphouse with control room, two above-ground 5,000-barrel fuel operating storage tanks with containment, two 4,500 square foot truck fill canopies, and one 8,130 square foot refueler canopy, 8,400 cubic yards of over-excavation, and 153,100 square feet of site grading, structure excavation, and backfill. The project also includes 630 tons of asphalt paving, aggregates, and stone, 5,900 square feet of sidewalk, 960 linear feet curb and gutter, and 32,000 square feet of seeding and landscape. The tanks include steel construction, aluminum floating pans, painted interior and exterior, 10,925 square feet of fuel liner, 2,800 square feet of under tank liner, as well as a 2,000-gallon aboveground product recovery tank (PRT), a military service station with 5,000-gallon MOGAS tanks, a 5,000-gallon diesel tank, platform and dispensers, and a 2,000-gallon underground oil water separator (OWS). The project also includes the infrastructure for the Automatic Tank Gauging Equipment, filter building, distribution piping to existing loop, extension of a fuel transfer line, supporting facilities, and associated site work. Civil utilities include water, sewer, storm and containment drains, and a natural gas line, as well as electrical utilities for the building and site, including a generator and switchgear.
