TYPE III HYDRANT FUEL SYSTEM LAYOUT TEST

This project included a new Hydrant Fuel Pumphouse, a 3,500-square-foot single-story pump room with a control room to house the control panels; a small latrine;CMU exterior walls and standing seam metal roof; five 125-HP fueling pumps to provide a 2,400-Gallon-Per-Minute hydrant fueling system, two 10,000-barrel fuel storage tanks with concrete containment berms, nine hydrant fuel pits, 3,500 linear feet of 12-inch fuel distribution piping, a 4,000-gallon product recovery tank, cathodic protection (impressed current) for fuel piping and fuel storage tanks, cathodic protection (galvanic anode) for all other metallic lines and structures, two truck fill stands, a hydrant hose truck checkout station with unloading capabilities, and a 6,700-square-foot canopy shelter.Nova installed a new carbon steel 8-inch 5,200-foot fuel transfer line from the base bulk storage facility to the new pumphouse, utilities to support the Type III Pumphouse, underground electrical distribution and lighting, and a 300Kw electrical generatorAlso included were airfield pavement removals and replacement (3,500 square yards of 12 to 18 inches of Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) with 6 to 12 inches of rigid base course); truck fill stand reinforced pavement (3,510 square feet of 9-inch PCC with 6-inch crushed aggregate and 12-inch compacted sub grade), service road pavement (4400 square yards of PCC non-reinforced with 6-inch crushed aggregate and 12-inch compacted sub grade), and 2,000 feet of new chain-link security fence.
